Almost broke my G-String ... and knowing God is Great
i thot i did. somehow, it did not feel right. you know what it means, right? when something is s'pposed to be there and not quite there ... it feels funny.
well. it turned out i did not break G but B ... in the middle of worship at OC todae. sigh. i so hate that. for those still clueless, G n B r my guitar strings. add to that, OC was kinda subdued tis morning in the beginning of our worship. i was like, hey! how come not happenin? the string break sorta added to the frustration ... but it also did somethin else to me ... it felt like God saying, yo! lookup! worship ME. not the music my man. thats when i decided we will not go on to the next fast song but fast track to Consuming Fire. sori pastor goose and shawn for riding u guyz out on this.
tis was when i thot our worship began - when we r seriously away from our need to impress and decidedly into the heart of worship - thats when i felt the unison of the worshippers' heartfelt voices. it was awesome. and it was humbling ...

... we ended with How Great Is Our God and it was ... simply great! the simplicity of just acknowledging HIM. that seems to be the secret. just honor HIM and worship.
sherri came up with some friends at the end of the meeting and asked about the saturday meetings. that was very nice. caught mel's monkey smile. heard that claris was working the 15-min window period. missed nic's clumsiness. cherz wacked the keyboards with her pained wrists. lala wacked the guit with her good wrists. sat down with cherns, chris and pew to chat - a rare moment. gave asher an overhand hug and he said sorry. hmm ... it's cool buddy. we all gathered to pray our weekly thank you prayer. cassandra walked over and joined us. that really warmed my heart. it is no longer just a worship-musician thingy anymore. thank you pastor goose and shawn for packing and for leading. i m still thinking about y'day - the sharings, the openness, the Love of God. overheard asher telling cherns he is cool. thats neat. left the place. out into the rain. and into the car where the Lim clan was waiting. next stop - bak kut teh. yes! our God is great!

Pong...we broke through with worship to the Lord...from when I was standing...I could see lots of peeps worshipping...of course me too lah...Thank you...string no string...we still have our voices...
i brought my p3 son David to youth worship as a special treat (instead of being with the kiddies) to taste his "future", and he clapped & sang along without prompting!! you guys are a real blessing, broken string regardless!
