i have often heard about the resistance of people on the preaching of prosperity in the churches. i have heard some of those preachings before. some, i agree. some, i can't. some, i don't know.stumbled on Ps 115:25 "O LORD, do save, we beseech You; O LORD, we beseech You, do send prosperity!"
it set me thinking.
does God withold good from us? as a father to my own children, i am incapable of witholding good from them. i discipline, yes. i admonish, yes. but never starve them. never wish them poor in wealth or health. but i do all i can to love, give, protect and bless them over and beyond whenever, wherever, however i can. it is in the nature of a father. like my Father in heaven. in His image.
if God were to tell me he is going to prosper me, what would i tell Him? go away! don't preach the prosperity gospel to me? or yes Lord, thank you!
i believe God provides beyond measure and understanding. i believe God wants to prosper all - in wealth, health, relatioships, ministry, etc.
