the grace of Godworship today was uber cool. i hear the voices singing. and not just that. hearts raised n worhipped. i continue to pray tha God enables a breakthrough at our one community.
i saw some things i did not normally see at worship today and for everything that i had witnessed, i thank God. it was a hoot to see people who would normally not be responding, responding to God, heard voices i hv not heard before - i m not mad here ok. i mean voices singing with that depth that i hv not heard for sometime. the hunger. the joy. the letting go! i know the day will come. when ONE will experience that release. and then, whoa! stand back and experience the Lord!
i learnt something this week. that Christ did not come to modify our behaviour, but He came to transform our hearts through the grace He gives. grace to be forgiven and be able to stand righteous in the presence of God. that is darn awesome. that God does not care if we have sinned or are going to sin, but that anytime, His grace is there for us to take. to return to Him. and to be embraced again. we do that often enough, we are going to be able to understand why He does what He does - to give grace to return to Him again and again. this is the grace that will transform our hearts n understanding of God. it will change us and set us free from our leanings to sin and its bondages. God's grace sets us free!
if you think you have screwed up, neva mind. Jesus says He forgives and you can be right before God and start again. you messed it up again, He will tell you the same thing - its ok, He is still with you. the forgiveness of God frees and releases you from everything that ties you down. God's grace cannot be tied down. it can only free you and empower you! just make sure you want to go back to Him. like i say, you may hv messed it up before but it is still ok, He is still there with open arms. why? Grace people. Grace - giving to us what we do not deserve - that He is still with us no matter what.
i preach Christ crucified. that thru Him all are forgiven and all are freed in God!
